Michael Walsh is a communications executive with more than 25 years of experience leading high-impact PR, media relations, crisis communications, and strategic storytelling for large, complex organizations.
For the past decade, he has served as Director of Communications for the Diocese of Camden, overseeing crisis response, executive communications, multimedia production, and local, regional, and national media strategy. His career spans technology, journalism, and nonprofit sectors, and he is dedicated to helping mission-driven organizations amplify their voice, shape public perception, and build trust.
Within the Catholic Media Association, Walsh serves as the national committee chair for the Catholic Media Conference (CMC) in 2024, 2025, and 2026, guiding the planning and execution of the association’s premier annual gathering. In this role, he collaborates with dioceses, Catholic publishers, universities, and communications professionals across North America to strengthen formation, networking, and innovation in Catholic media.
He is also engaged in developing ethical frameworks and best practices for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in Catholic communications, ensuring emerging technologies serve transparency, mission, and human dignity.
