Two CMA members in conversation
Simple steps for inviting a colleague to CMA.

Thank you for helping CMA grow. You don't need to send many messages or overthink them. A few personal invitations go a long way.

A CMA member sharing ideas with a colleague

How to reach out

Six steps to a great invitation

1

Start with a short list

  • Choose three to five people who might benefit from CMA
  • Think of colleagues, collaborators or anyone doing meaningful work in Catholic media or communications
  • Former CMA members are welcome back, and inviting them counts too
2

Pick your approach

  • Use an email template if you'd like something structured
  • Use a short message for a quick text, DM or informal note
3

Make it personal

4

Keep the tone right

  • Think invitation, not promotion
  • You're sharing something of value, not selling it
  • One clear link is enough. Our templates point to a page made just for invited colleagues.
5

Remind them to name you

After your colleague applies, they should email membership@catholicmediaassociation.org with your name. That's how we know to thank you.

6

Follow through

  • If it feels right, send one light follow-up
  • Keep a simple list of who you've invited so you can check in later
$10

A small thank-you

For each new or returning member you refer, we'll send you a $10 eGift card once their membership is active, up to $50 per calendar year.
