Catholic Media Association Announces Opening of 2024 Awards Program

Info and Updates,

CHICAGO, Illinois (Nov. 1, 2023) — The Catholic Media Association announced today the submission period is officially open for the 2024 Catholic Media Awards. These awards honor exemplary work produced in 2023 that informs, inspires, and educates readers, keeping them connected to their faith, and telling the story of the Church. Information detailing the awards program is available at catholicmediaassociation.org.

Updates to the 2024 awards program include the introduction of new categories for Best Video for the Eucharistic Revival, Best Use of Video on Social Media, and Best Photograph. Also new this year: hard copy submissions are no longer required as part of the awards submission process.

With the diversity of Catholic communications today, the Catholic Media Awards offer the opportunity for individuals and teams to submit their best work for critical review. Participants choose categories organized by different media that feature writing, design, production, and editing skills, and submit in sub-categories separated by intent such as news, feature stories, and so forth. Beyond acknowledgment, the award winners enjoy heightened visibility, amplified by features on various platforms including our website and social media channels.

Winning entries receive recognition in the annual Awards Issue of The Catholic Journalist and are viewable on the award portal of the CMA website. Winning entries are promoted on the Catholic Media Association’s social media channels.
